The following is a summary of the Kodak Alaris guidelines for how often to change the feed module, separation roller, pre-separation pads and tires for the i4000/i5000 series scanner consumable kits.  For more information visit the Kodak Alaris website.

• Feed module and separation roller tires: tire life will vary depending upon paper types, environment and cleanliness.  Nominal tire life is approximately 500,000 pages; results will vary.  Degradation of feeder performance, multiple feeds, stoppages etc. indicate a need to change tires.  Change all tires on the feed module and separation roller at the same time.
• Feed module and separation roller kit: it is recommended that you install a new feed module and separation roller approximately every 7th tire change.  Install a new feed module and separation roller at the same time.
• Pre-separation pad: change each time you change the tires.
