TIMG, a provider of Information Management services across Australia & New Zealand, has achieved Platinum Status in the Veeam Cloud & Service Provider Program, confirming TIMG’s experience and expertise in delivering Veeam-powered Availability services. Veeam Software is the innovative provider of solutions that deliver Availability for the Always-On Enterprise. With their focus on Backup & Disaster Recovery as a Service, TIMG have also moved into the top slot for Cloud Connect licenses in Australia & New Zealand.

Chris Cotterrell, TIMG General Manager, had this to say about the Veeam partnership: “We are excited to be named a Veeam Platinum Partner. BaaS and DRaaS are a natural fit for TIMG, with our background in Off-site Media (Tape) storage. More and more of our clients are looking for online options and the TIMG and Veeam combination adds up to a solution they know they can trust.”

TIMG’s Veeam-powered DRaaS allows customers to achieve Recovery Time and Point Objectives (RTPO) of less than 15 minutes, agnostic of customer OS, applications or storage. Both VMware vSphere & Microsoft Hyper-V environments are supported. Veeam-powered BaaS automates the off-site back up process, allowing IT departments to focus on their clients. Storage snapshots & Tape as a Service are utilised to mitigate the threats posed by ransomware.

Asanga Wanigatunga, Senior Director, Asia Pacific & Japan within the Global Cloud Group said. “Today’s enterprises are more demanding than ever before, expecting access to all applications and services 24.7.365 with zero tolerance for downtime. As a Veeam Cloud & Service Provider, TIMG is able to provide organisations with peace of mind that in the event of an incident, services can become available within the shortest period of time.”

The invitation to Platinum Partnership was extended 14 months after launching the solution, which shows the commitment both companies have in growing the Cloud business in the Australia and New Zealand region.
