The HP LTO Ultrium 5 Data Tape 1.5TB/3.0TB is suitable for read and write in all LTO5 Ultrium 5 tape drives. This tape is also suitable for 'read and write' in LTO6 Ultrium 6 tape drives. However, the HP LTO Ultrium 5 is 'read only' in all LTO7 Ultrium 7 tape drives. The HPE LTO5 tape has been extreme environmental, drop, shock, and vibration tested.
